Leicester Open 18 - Entry Accepted!

Good news! I 've had one of my paintings accepted into this years Open 18** Exhibition at the City Gallery in Leicester. I don't which one yet! Which is frustrating, I will find out when I pick up the two other paintings I submitted. When I have an idea I will post something here.

The region’s most exuberant Open exhibition has now come of age in its eighteenth year! Packed with an amazing amount of fresh talent as well as some old favourites, this year’s Open promises to be the best yet. With over four hundred pieces selected from hundreds of regional entries, this year’s exhibition certainly caters for all tastes. An eclectic mix of painting, print, drawing, sculpture, photography, jewellery, glassware and ceramics make up this spectacular showcase.

This years judges include S Mark Gubb – Artist, Dr Clive Edwards – Director of Loughborough University School of Art and Design and Susie O’Reilly, Independent Consultant and Curator.

The Open provides a dazzling snapshot of the wealth of creativity across the East Midlands and we hope you’re looking forward to it as much as we are!
