Charity Sale

This lunchtime I visited the DRCS Postcard Art Sale and Exhibition (at Ashover in Derbyshire). About six months ago I sent them a postcard sized seascape, lot number 340. I pleased to say it has sold to a buyer for £15 (all paintings cost the same). There were over 700 entries in theis fascinating exhibition including some entries from the famous, inluding Harry Hill, Jim Broadbent and Ian Hislop. I bought a postcard by a celeb but I won't know who it is until it arrives. It was a rather gruesome pen and ink sketch which I'm very pleased with. I will post a photo of it when it arrives.

NEW: Sea Swirl VI

I have just discovered the joys of the palette knife. This was partially because my local gallery owner was telling me that textured paintings are selling well at the moment. This painting was painted mainly with a the palette knife, I've been using the brush to give an airbrush like effect, mainly for mist.

I have created three painitngs like this one. One is going to Gallery-S (my usual gallery), one on Minigallery (FWIW) and one "spare"

Hope you like it.
