Figurative Painting: Two Shrouded Figures
This weekend I have been mainly finishing off other paintings and doing promo stuff. This afternoon I had the urge to attempt a figurative painting. This is an area I have not done much before, I stick to mainly, abstract, sculpture and of course landscapes.
In a very spontaneous and quick session I produced this painting. I put the paint on the board with brush and palette knife almost without thinking and certainly without planning. This one scared me a little, after painting it I felt an overwhelming emotional release.
This evening I have been staring at it and the more I stare at the the more I see, there are more than two figures lurking in this painting!
What do you think?
What's your reaction to the painting?
